Linda Hiemstra

Occupational Therapist, Practice Owner

Qualifications:

  • B.OT (University of Stellenbosch)
  • Dip Voc Rehab (University of Pretoria)
  • Post Graduate Diploma in interdisciplinary pain management (University of Cape Town)

Linda has been working as an Occupational Therapist for the last 18 years and has experience in the public and private sector in a wide variety of disciplines, including orthopaedics, general medicine, geriatrics, neurology, spinal and vocational rehabilitation. She has worked both internationally and locally and completed the post-graduate diploma in Vocational Rehabilitation at the University of Pretoria in 2008, and the post-graduate diploma in Interdisciplinary Pain Management at the University of Cape Town in 2018.
Her current practice has been in existence for 10 and continues to grow. She is passionate about providing quality, holistic service which is in the best interest of the patient.

As practice owner, she is a firm believer in value-based leadership, and has a keen interest in education, and promoting the value of Occupational Therapy.

Tamryn Olivier

Occupational Therapist, Practice Owner

Qualifications:

  • B.OT (University of the Free State)
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Vocational Rehabilitation (University of Pretoria)

Tamryn completed her B.OT degree at University of the Free State and worked for a private practice in Mpumalanga after Community Service year. She completed the National Post Graduate Diploma in Vocational Rehabilitation at University of Pretoria, and started her own practice in Oudtshoorn. She joined the Back2Work team in 2017, after some corporate industry work. She has a passion for upper limb and physical rehabilitation, chronic pain management and intervention following injury or illness, and is enthusiastic to find new alternatives to assist persons to return to work and fulfill their life goals and passions. Tammy is also well equipped to perform Functional Capacity Evaluations and design rehabilitation programs for clients. She performs many management tasks within the practice.

Stefani Pienaar

Occupational Therapist

Qualifications:

  • B.OT (University of the Free State)

Stefani qualified from the University of the Free State in 2012. She started her career in psychiatry and neuro-rehabilitation and joined the Back2Work team in 2018 and is based at the Paarl branch, working at the Spescare sub-acute hospital.
Stefani has a special interest in neuro-rehabilitation, general adult physical rehabilitation and geriatric care. She is passionate about providing ethical, client-centred care.

Anneke Venter

Occupational Therapist

Qualifications:

Anneke studied at Stellenbosch University and has a special interest in vocational rehabilitation in mental health. With more than 10 years of experience in the holistic rehabilitation and reintegration of individuals with various psychiatric pathology, she has developed an eclectic therapeutic style, shaping intervention to meet each client at their point of need and working at the client’s pace.
She is a firm believer in neuroplasticity and the brain’s ability to reshape, relearn and heal. As she treats her patients holistically, she values the power of an interdisciplinary team approach, with the client is a valuable member of the team.

Caitlyn Lewis

Occupational Therapist

Qualifications:

  • B.OT (University of the Free State)

Caitlyn qualified in 2017 from the University of the Free State and joined the practice during the middle of 2020. She is currently performing vocational assessment and rehabilitation for clients with mental health conditions. She has a special interest in vocational assessment and rehabilitation of physical and mental health conditions, pain management, and upper limbs conditions. She is also further pursuing her interests in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and pain management.

Qualifications:

  • B.Sc.OT (University of Cape Town)
  • B.A. Languages (University of Cape Town)

Claire holds a B.A. as well as a B.Sc. in Occupational Therapy from the University of Cape Town. She completed her community service in 2019 and began working at Back2Work in 2020. She believes that all humans are innate problem solvers and she loves partnering with clients to reach their goals. She has a particular interest in pain management.

Corné graduated in 1995 from the University of Stellenbosch and joined Back2Work in mid-2021.   She has extensive experience in neuro-rehabilitation, general adult physical rehabilitation,and pain management. She has worked both internationally and locally.  She firmly believes in life-long learning and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and her certificate in Pain Management.  It is her passion to help people become the best version of themselves.

Gene de Wet

Qualifications:

Annelize Kruger qualified in 2015 from the University of the Free State, and joined the Back2Work team at the start of 2020. She is based at the Paarl branch situated at the Spescare sub-acute hospital.
She has 5 years of clinical experience and completed her Master’s degree from the University of the Free State. Her focus is on the physical rehabilitation of both in-patients and out-patients. With passion and patience, she provides the therapeutic intervention required that will enable her patients to re-engage in their activities of daily living and functional mobility after an injury or illness.
